Younger children may need early intervention if suffering from recurrent UTI’s, have dysfunctional voiding patterns, elevated bladder volumes before or after micturition, upper urinary tract issues or chronic constipation.
More information can be found at the International Continence Children’s Society.

If possible, please have your child attend their appointment with a comfortable full bladder. This will allow the use of transabdominal real time ultrasound to assessment your child’s pelvic floor lift, bladder shape and position, and volumes, if appropriate.
We may ask you to also complete a bladder, bowel and /or incident diary either prior to attending your appointment or after the first appointment.
