Susan Simpson
B.App.Sc.(Physiotherapy)
Susan graduated as a Physiotherapist from University of Sydney in 2001.
Since graduation Susan has worked predominantly in a public health setting. In the last three years she has specialised in the area of Women’s and Children’s Health and is currently the Senior Physiotherapist in this area at RPAH. She undertakes a varied clinical case-load seeing pregnant and post natal women and pelvic floor outpatients, as well as newborns.
Susan also has broad experience teaching group exercise, completing her Certificate III in exercise instruction in 2006. She has previously taught exercise classes incorporating clinical pilates to pregnant and postnatal women, and the general population. Susan is a huge believer in the benefits of pilates to enhance core stability, improve awareness of pelvic floor control, improve posture and prevent back pain and feels this is especially relevant during pregnancy and in the postnatal period.
As well as Pilates, Susan enjoys running with her Labrador and spending time with her family.
